Product Size Chart: Women's Leggings, Tights, & Stockings

For leggings, tights, and stockings, use your waist and hip measurements as the main sizing reference. Because these garments are usually stretchy, fit can also depend on fabric elasticity, compression level, and height.

Common Alternative Sizing

Leggings and tights may also be sold using combined or flexible sizing such as:

Size Label Typical Meaning
XS/S Covers approximately XS–S
S/M Covers approximately S–M
M/L Covers approximately M–L
L/XL Covers approximately L–XL
XL/XXL Covers approximately XL–XXL
One Size / OS Stretch construction intended to fit a range of sizes

For tights, some brands also use height and weight charts instead of standard letter sizing.

How to Measure

Waist: Measure around your natural waistline without pulling the tape tightly.

Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Inseam: For full-length leggings, measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the ankle.

Height: Particularly useful for tights, where insufficient length can affect both comfort and fit.

Choosing the Right Size

For standard leggings, use both waist and hips.

For compression or shaping leggings, choose carefully according to the measurements rather than automatically sizing down.

For tights, height can be just as important as waist and hips because the garment must stretch vertically as well as around the body.

If you fall between two sizes, the larger size is generally safer, particularly for non-compression leggings and tights.

Fabric & Fit

High Stretch — accommodates a wider range of measurements.

Compression / Shaping — fits more firmly and may feel smaller than standard leggings.

Fleece-Lined — thicker construction may reduce available stretch.

Sheer Tights — should not be excessively stretched, as this can affect comfort, appearance, and durability.

Please Note

Leggings and tights sizing is not completely standardized between brands. Stretch, compression, rise, fabric thickness, and garment length can all affect fit.

Use this chart as a general body-measurement reference.
