How to Measure

Waist: Measure around the area where you normally wear your jeans. Keep the tape comfortably snug without pulling it tight.

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down the inside of the leg to the desired hem position.

Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat. This can be useful for slim or fitted jeans.

Understanding W × L

W32 × L30 = 32-inch waist + 30-inch inseam
W34 × L32 = 34-inch waist + 32-inch inseam
W36 × L34 = 36-inch waist + 34-inch inseam

Some brands simply write this as 32×30, 34×32, etc.

Fit & Rise

Skinny / Slim Fit — closer through the seat, thigh and leg.
Straight Fit — relatively consistent width from thigh to hem.
Tapered Fit — roomier above and narrower toward the ankle.
Relaxed / Loose Fit — provides additional room through the seat and legs.

Low Rise, Mid Rise and High Rise describe where the waistband sits on the body and can affect how the same waist size feels.

Please Note

Men's denim sizing is not completely standardized between brands. Some jeans may also use vanity sizing, stretch denim, or different rise measurements.

Use waist and inseam as the primary reference.
